Actor Leonardo DiCaprio accepts the award for Best Actor in,The Revenant on stage at the 88th Oscars.
On his sixth try, Leonardo DiCaprio finally got his long-overdue Hollywood ending.
The 40-year-old A-lister finally won the best actor Oscar Sunday night for his performance as tracker Hugh Glass, who survived after being left for dead in the frozen tundra of 1820s South Dakota.
After thanking his director, Alejandro Iñárritu, and everyone who ever helped him in his career, DiCaprio put the spotlight on his favorite cause: climate change.
"I just want to say this. Making the Revenant was about Man’s relationship with the natural world," said DiCaprio. "Climate change is real it’s happening right now. It’s the most urgent threat facing our entire species."
"I think you all, let us not take this planet for granted, I do not take tonight for granted," he said.
